Who are J W LEES?
JW Lees is a family brewery company, founded in 1828 by retired cotton manufacturer John Lees. They’re based in Middleton in the North West of Manchester and own JW Lees Brewery, JW Lees Pubs, The Alderley Edge Hotel, The Trearddur Bay Hotel and Willoughby’s Wine Merchants. They’re a sixth-generation family business which employs just over 1,100 people, 141 at the brewery and site in Middleton Junction and 1000 in our 36 managed pubs, inns and hotels, as well as letting a further 107 pubs to our Pub Partners.
2018 has been a great year for the partnership between Parkinson Signs and JW Lees, continuing or close work on their pubs we are proud that we have been able to work with them on putting together a whole new rebrand that will be carried out on the signage at their pubs across the board.
Here are just a selection of some we’ve worked on so far…
- Anglesey Arms
- Millgate
- Bluebird Inn
- Walton Arms
- Holland Inn
- Duckworth Arms
- Free Trade Tavern
- Ship Inn
- Gardeners Arms
- Halfway House
- Kingfisher
- The Heaton
JW Lees projects are always great projects for us to work on as we get to use a wide range of our services, from the initial signage design, CNC cutting any 3D raised lettering that is then sent to our paint department to be individually hand gold leafed, creating the fibreglass panelling for the physical signage, plotting and cutting any vinyl for; signage text, internal signage etc, and having our experienced sign writers paint signage on site.
We are looking forward to moving in to 2019 and seeing the new branding spread through more of JW Lees estate.
